University of California, San Diego

The University of California-San Diego (UCSD) is a public research university and a branch of the University of California system, founded in 1960. It is a leader in research in fields such as biology and political science. It is ranked 39th in the 2014 USNEWS Comprehensive Ranking of American Universities, along with the University of California, Davis.
