National Institute of Applied Sciences of Lyon

INSA Lyon (Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon; full name: Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon) is an elite school for the training of engineers directly under the French Ministry of Education, founded in 1957, is one of the colleges belonging to the University of Lyon, and is renowned for its high quality of education for engineers and scientific research. It was ranked first in the 2008 comprehensive ranking of five-year engineering schools by the prestigious business magazine Nouvel Economiste.
