Frankfurt Academy of Music and Performing Arts

The Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt (German: Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt), Germany's most distinguished specialized school of the arts, was founded in 1878 with three faculties: the First Faculty, the Second Faculty and the Third Faculty. The first faculty is devoted to instrumental training and conducting, instrumental and song education, historical and interpretive practice, and church music; the second faculty is devoted to composition and teachers; and the third faculty is devoted to musical theater, drama, modern and classical dance, and the stage.
