Novosibirsk State University, located in Novosibirsk, the third most populous city in Russia, was founded in 1959 as a typical university that embodies the idea of combining teaching and science, where students have an excellent opportunity to approach modern scientific research. Corresponding to the scientific institutions included in the Academic Center of the Siberian Branch, the university trains specialists in the field of mathematics, informatics and computer technology, mechanics, physics, chemistry, biology, geology, geophysics, geochemistry, economic cybernetics, history, philosophy, sociology.
