The University of Tampere (Tampereen Yliopisto) is a renowned research institution of higher education in Finland. Founded in 1925 as the Teachers' Training College in Helsinki, the University moved to Tampere in 1960 and is accredited by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China to provide bachelor's and postgraduate education, and consists of five faculties - the Faculty of Economics and Management, the Faculty of Education, the Faculty of Humanities, the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Social Sciences and a language center. It has five faculties: Economics and Management, Education, Humanities, Medicine and Social Sciences, and one language center.
