Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT)

The Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) is the most authoritative Japanese-language testing system. Created in 1984 by the Japan Foundation for International Exchange and the Japan Educational Exchanges and Services (JEES), the JLPT is designed for non-native speakers of Japanese and is divided into four levels, with certificates of proficiency valid for a long period of time.
