The University of Perugia is already one of the largest educational institutions in the Umbria region, and has established extensive, stable, and well-established inter-university exchanges and cooperation with schools in Europe and around the world. The University of Perugia has 11 departments spread over 7 campuses. There are 29 majors and 1,200 full-time employees. The University's activity centers include 25 service communities and teaching and research centers, as well as a state-of-the-art and well-resourced library. The University of Perugia has a complete University Sports Center that caters to the needs of enrolled students to participate in a wide range of sports activities and to host regional and national competitions. The University of Perugia has 11 schools of thought: the Faculty of Agriculture, the Faculty of Economics, the Faculty of Pharmacy, the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Literature and Philosophy, the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, the Faculty of Education, the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Natural Sciences, and the Faculty of Political Science.
