University of South Florida

The University of South Florida is a public university founded in 1956. It has a total undergraduate enrollment of 37,263 (Fall 2023) on a 1,646-acre campus located in an urban area. The University of South Florida (commonly known as USF) is a research university with multiple campuses throughout the state. This public university is located in Tampa, with regional campuses in Sarasota and St. Petersburg. First-year students are required to live on campus unless they commute from several nearby counties, are over the age of 21, or are married, among other things. For students who do not live on campus, the school organizes a network of commuter students and provides bus transportation for students who drive to school and park in remote lots. On campus, there are more than 400 student organizations to choose from and a large Greek community.
