UCLA

The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA, UCLA) was founded in 1919 and is the second university in the University of California system. Located in the Westwood neighborhood of Los Angeles, the school is a comprehensive public university. UCLA offers a wide range of majors, offering degrees in over 330 different disciplines. It is ranked 23rd in the 2014 USNEWS Rankings of Comprehensive Universities in the United States, alongside Carnegie Mellon University, University of Southern California, University of Virginia, and Wake Forest University.
