Chosun University (CHOSUN UNIVERSITY, 조선대학교) is a comprehensive university in South Korea, founded in 1946 and located in Gwangju. There were 4 departments and 12 disciplines at the time of its establishment. In November 1946, it was renamed Chosun College, and in 1948, it was established as Chosun College and reorganized as Chosun University, and in 1953, it was upgraded to the status of a comprehensive university.
