German weekly newspaper Die Zeit

Founded on February 21, 1946, Die Zeit is a German-language weekly newspaper covering all of Germany. It is published every Thursday, with the usual advance publication on holidays. Since its founding, the location of Die Zeit has been Hamburg. The target readers of the weekly are first and foremost highly educated people or highly educated and informed citizens. Their political stance is liberal. On controversial topics, sometimes different positions are also contested in the weekly to express the readers' independent and unfettered views.
