Turner Broadcasting Service (TBS) is a cable television channel operator founded by American media personality Ted Turner and established in 1970.On October 10, 1996, it was acquired by Time Warner and became its subsidiary. Among the channels it created were CNN, Cartoon Channel, Boomerang, etc. TBS initially aired movies and programs from the over-the-air television networks, after which the station began to broadcast local sporting events. With the gradual growth of the television market, TBS began to broadcast to a national audience.
