The Danish University of Education (DPU; Danmarks Pædagogiske) is the only Danish institution of higher education that offers master's and doctoral degrees in education, and was established on June 1, 2007 through the merger of the Danish University of Education and Aarhus University. The DPU is dedicated to research on teaching and learning in the education system, lifelong competitiveness, the use of media and ICT, education of special needs groups, comparative education policy, the development of educational research methods, and the continuous development of educational theory.
