The University of Bristol (University of Bristol) is one of the six "Red Brick Universities" in the UK, a member of the Russell Group of Universities and a member of the Coimbra Group. The history of the University of Bristol can be traced back to the University College of Bristol, which was founded in 1876, and merged with the Bristol Medical School in 1909 to form the University of Bristol, which has been awarded Royal Assent.
