Bowdoin College (Bowdoin College) America's prestigious college, located in Bruinschwick, Maine, was founded in 1794, named after the former governor of Massachusetts, James Bowdoin, its Department of Physics, Economics and Biology is recognized as a strength of the nation's academics; its Department of Government and Law is even more so in 2003 by the London School of Economics and Political Science as the best political science program among small colleges in the world. Bowdoin was ranked fifth in the 2015 U.S. News ranking of U.S. liberal arts colleges, and was named one of the "New Ivies" by Newsweek in 2006. SAT scores are not required for admission to the college.
