Islamic Republic of Iran External Radio and Television (IRIB in English; سازمان صدا و سيمای جمهوری اسلامی ايران in Persian) is the only Iranian radio and television outlet with nationwide signal coverage, and is an absolute leader in the Iranian media industry, having been founded in 1938.IRIB broadcasts on 18 frequencies, 11 of which are in the Persian language for internal broadcasting, and 7 external frequencies for global broadcasting in 27 languages. IRIB has 18 frequencies, 11 of which are in Farsi for domestic broadcasting and 7 external frequencies that broadcast globally in 27 languages, and its website is available in both Farsi and English. In addition, IRIB has its own newspaper and magazine.
