University of Ticino

The University of Ticino (USI; Università della Svizzera italiana; Swiss-Italian University) is a renowned public interdisciplinary and multilingual university in Switzerland, the only public university in the Italian-speaking part of the country, founded in 1996 and located in Lugano, the largest city in the canton of Ticino in southern Switzerland. It has four faculties: Economics, Communication Sciences, Informatics and Architecture, of which the Mendrisio School of Architecture is the most famous in the world.
