TASS (Телеграфное агентство Советского Союза, TACC, RIA Novosti, Soviet News Agency) is a Russian state news agency founded in 1925, with its head office in Moscow, and was once one of the world's top five news agencies. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, TASS moved towards privatization.
