The University of Notre Dame (partially translated as Notre Dame) is a private, Catholic university in the United States, with 90% of its students of the Catholic faith. It was founded in 1842 and is located in Notre Dame, Indiana, USA. Notre Dame's Mendoza College of Business is one of the most prestigious business schools in the United States. Notre Dame has a strong alumni network, as well as the second-highest alumni giving rate in the nation, behind Princeton University. Notre Dame is tied with Rice University for 18th place in the 2024 USNEWS Rankings of American Universities.
