Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), founded in 1977, is the best agricultural university in Sweden and even in Northern Europe, with 290 teachers (of which more than 140 are professors), nearly 2,700 students, a library with more than 80,000 books and more than 700 periodicals. There are three faculties: the Faculty of Agriculture, the Faculty of Forestry and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. The university studies biological natural resources - everything that lives and grows. The Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences researches, teaches and makes people understand that different ways of utilizing our forests, environment, soil, animals and other resources can give us opportunities for development and can also put us at risk.
