It was founded in 1980. The college has a high degree of extroversion, and has established friendly and close exchange and cooperation relationships with Central Saint Martins College in the United Kingdom, National Institute of Fashion Technology in India, Chulalongkorn University in Thailand, San Francisco State University in the United States, Nagoya University in Japan, Philadelphia University in the United States, West Virginia University in the United States, and the University of Arts and Technology in Plymouth, among other universities.
