Miami University (Miami University) is a research-oriented public university in the United States, founded in 1809, is one of the oldest public universities in the United States, the school is located in a small town called Oxford, Ohio (Oxford, OH). The university is not related to Miami University in Florida or the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom, but is named in honor of the Miami, the indigenous people of Ohio, and uses the name of the place where it is located, Oxford, to distinguish it from Miami University. It is ranked 75th in the 2014 USNEWS National Composite University Rankings, along with American University, Baylor University, Clark University, University of Indiana at Birmington, Marquette University, and University of Delaware.
