University College London (UCL) is a comprehensive research-oriented public university in the United Kingdom, founded in 1826, is the first university in London. University College London is the founding college of the University of London, a member of the G5 super-elite universities, a member of the Russell Group of Universities, and a prestigious Golden Triangle university. The school has academic units such as the School of Humanities and Arts, the School of Brain Sciences, the School of Life Sciences and the School of Engineering. University College London was ranked 9th in the 2014 Times UK University Overall Rankings.
