Universität Linz, Austria's leading public university and the largest scientific research institution in Upper Austria, was founded in 1966 and is known as a center of economic and sociological research, with three faculties: Sociology and Economics, Technology and Natural Sciences, and Law, and major majors in Sociology, Economics, Law, and Technology and Natural Sciences.
