Federal Institute for Water Supply, Wastewater Treatment and Water Protection

The Federal Institute for Water Supply, Wastewater Treatment and Water Conservation (EAWAG), one of the four federal institutes in Switzerland, was founded in 1936 as an advisory office to the Department of Wastewater Treatment at the ETH Zurich in German-speaking Switzerland to train doctoral students in the field of water treatment, as well as collaborative research projects and summer doctoral research programs for outstanding students from developing countries.
