University of Regensburg

The University of Regensburg (Universitat Regensburg) was founded in 1962 and is a public university in Germany. It is located in Regensburg, Bavaria. The journey from Munich to Regensburg by express train takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes. There are about 16,000 students enrolled at the university, including 900 international students. The University of Regensburg specializes in cultural studies, economics, informatics and life sciences. The University of Regensburg is home to the Institute for East European Studies (IES), the Institute for European Regional Studies (IRS), and other institutes opened in cooperation with East European universities, which serve as a bridge for cultural exchanges between the countries of Eastern and Western Europe.
