Kolding School of Design was founded in 1967 in Kolding, Denmark. It is a private school with the aim of educating professional designers with a high level of competence, an international outlook, a sociological, philosophical, and anthropological background, as well as a democratic, innovative, cooperative, and socially responsible approach to complex design projects. The Curtin School of Design has approximately 380 students, 270 undergraduates and 112 graduate students. The Curtin School of Design has five departments: Form and Theory, Fashion and Textiles, Visual Communication, Industrial Design and Interactive Media, and Ceramics. The school is located in the industrial triangle of Jutland, which facilitates cooperation between the school and business. The language of instruction is Danish, but most teachers and students speak English.
