Royal Holloway, University of London (RHUL) is a member of the University of London and the Russell Group of Universities. It was formed in 1985 by the merger of Bedford College, founded in 1849, and Royal Holloway College, founded in 1879. Royal Holloway College was ranked 28th in the 2014 Times UK University Rankings.
