Hamilton College ( Hamilton College) America's top liberal arts, science and engineering college, ranked by U.S. News as one of the toughest schools in the United States to get admitted (most selective), was founded in 1793 and is one of the oldest colleges in New York State. Emphasizing students' writing skills, Hamilton College is the second most writing proficient university in the country (first is Emory University; third is MIT and New York University), and is ranked #15 in the U.S. Liberal Arts Colleges by U.S. News in 2015.
