Russian State Pedagogical University

The Russian State Pedagogical University (St. Petersburg), also known as Herzen University, was founded in 1797 and has a history of more than 200 years. It is a world-renowned pedagogical university, the oldest in Russia, and the only pedagogical university bearing the name of the Russian state. There are many Chinese students studying in the Faculty of Languages and Literature, some of them studying Russian literature, and some of them studying foreign languages, such as German, French and English, or studying one of these languages and learning the other as a second foreign language, so that together with Russian, they can master the three foreign languages to adapt to the internationalized era. Music and art at the school have a history of about 200 years and are of the highest level in Russia, but the school focuses on the pedagogical point of view.
