Metro International is an international free newspaper founded in 1995 by the Swedish media group Kinnevik, with the name Metro meaning subway newspaper, and covering 19 countries and regions including Asia, Western Europe, Northern Europe, South America and North America, with more than 40 editions in circulation. Metro is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's largest international newspaper.
