The University of Eastern Finland (Finnish: Ita-Suomen yliopisto), a university in preparation in Finland, was established on January 1, 2010 by the merger of the University of Joensuu and the University of Kuopio, with two main campuses in Joensuu and Kuopio, as well as the Savonlinna campus.
