The Danish News Agency (Ritzaus Bureau) is the only national news agency in Denmark, founded in 1866, and the earliest news agency established in Scandinavia, with its head office in Copenhagen, which belongs to a joint-stock company jointly owned by Danish newspapers. The mission of the Danish News Agency is to provide national newspapers, radio and television stations with news and business information, sending about 60,000 words of news per day, including about 15,000 words of international news per day. The Danish News Agency cooperates with news agencies in many countries around the world.
