United Press International (UPI)

United Press International (UPI) is the second largest news agency in the United States and one of the world's four largest news agencies, which is a for-profit commercial news agency.It was formed in May 1958 through the merger of UPI and Inter Press Service (IPS) and is headquartered in Washington, D.C., with a news and photo transmission network center in New York.
