The University of the Basque Country (Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea in Basque, Universidad del País Vasco in Spanish), founded in 1980, is a public university in Spain. The University of the Basque Country has 13 departments: Science and Technology, Medicine and Dentistry, Social and Media Sciences, Fine Arts, Law (Bizkaia Campus), Sarriko Business and Economic Sciences (Ibarrekolanda, Sarriko Campus), Chemical Sciences, Law, Psychology, Philosophy and Educational Sciences, Informatics, Pharmacy, Literature, and Physical Activity and Sports Sciences. There are also 13 faculties, including the Faculty of Labor Relations, the Faculty of Nursing, the Faculty of Teachers (Arangoiti Campus), the Higher Institute of Engineering and Technology of Bilbao (San Mames Campus), the Faculty of Industrial and Technological Engineering (La Casilla Campus), the Faculty of Entrepreneurial Studies (main campus), the Higher Institute of Nautical, Mechanical and Maritime Technology, the Faculty of Public Works and Mineral Technology Engineering, the Higher Institute of Architecture and Technology, and the Faculty of Architecture and Engineering.
