The Ecole Polytechnique (French: école Polytechnique), founded in 1794 as the Ecole Centrale de l'Enseignement Publique, is France's most distinguished engineering school, with a motto set by Napoleon, and is internationally renowned for training many scientists, politicians, military generals and entrepreneurs.
