The university is headquartered in the historic Paris Institute of Foreign Affairs (founded in 1774) in the 6th arrondissement of Paris, which can be reached by taking line 4 of the Paris Metro. The University of Paris V is a strong and prestigious institution, especially known for medicine, biomedicine and pharmacy, but also in the humanities. Dozens of Nobel Prize winners and professors are honorary professors at the University, which is one of the oldest universities in Europe. The University of Paris V consists of nine faculties (UFR) and one institute of science and technology (IUT), covering all the main humanities and health sciences disciplines, and is the only university in the Paris region to link medicine, pharmacy and dentistry. Thanks to the high quality of its teaching and the excellence of its research, the Health Center of the University of Paris V enjoys a high reputation in Europe and throughout the world.
