Chunichi Shimbun (CHUNICHI Web) is a Japanese local newspaper founded on September 1, 1942 as Chubu Nippon Shimbun, a merger of two newspapers, and changed its name in 1965 to its current one. Chubu Nippon Shimbun is headquartered in Naka-ku, Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, and has a high circulation rate, especially in central Japan.
