The Norwegian Evening Post (Aftenposten), Norway's largest, highest-circulation and oldest newspaper, was founded in 1860 and is based in Oslo, with a reputation for serious reporting. The newspaper has a morning and an afternoon edition, and its readership is mostly middle- and upper-middle class.
