The University of Macerata (Università degli Studi di Macerat; English: University of Macerata), one of the oldest universities in Europe, was founded in 1290 and is the largest public institution of higher education in the province of Macerata, offering Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral degree programs, with the main faculties of Law, Literature and Philosophy, Economics, and Finance. The main faculties are Law, Literature and Philosophy, Economics and Finance. Because it is a public university, so all the students who are admitted to pay only 1500 euros per year subject registration fee, other tuition fees are completely free; for students who can not be successfully admitted, the university offers paid courses, students have to pay up to 3000-5000 euros per year.
