The Ecole specializing in architecture (ESA: Ecole spéciale d'architecture) is a prestigious private school in France, founded in 1865 by the engineer Emile Tella in opposition to the monopoly of art and architecture, with the main faculties of Architecture and the Environment, Visual Arts and Expression, History and the Human Sciences, and Architectural Science and Technology, Computer Applications and Communications, leading to the DESA diploma (a degree generally recognized in the European Union).
