On April 1, 1920, the Dong-a Ilbo, one of the earliest Korean newspapers with a large circulation, was launched. The newspaper has a regular 24-page layout, which is close to the style of Japanese newspapers, and is richly illustrated with sharp writing style, reflecting the voices of the Korean opposition and intelligentsia to a greater extent. It has branch offices and bureaus throughout Korea, and branch offices and popularization offices in Japan and the United States.
