The Snow Leopard Trust (SLT) is the world's largest and oldest international organization for the protection of snow leopards, founded by Helen Elaine Freeman in Seattle in 1981. The organization aims to protect existing snow leopards and their habitats, as well as to help solve problems for people living in snow leopard habitat areas. Currently, the Snow Leopard Foundation operates primarily in countries where snow leopards exist in their range, such as China, India, Mongolia, Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan.
