Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (abbreviated FAMU) is a public university in the United States, founded in 1887, located in Tallahassee, Florida, and part of the Florida State University System.It is a traditionally black university.In 2017 U.S. News & World Report listed it as the number one public traditionally black university in the United States.
