Tokyo Broadcasting System (TBS)

Tokyo Broadcasting Station, or TBS, began broadcasting in 1951. TBS is Japan's largest private television station and one of the top 500 companies in Japan, with an audience of 30 million. Formerly a commercial broadcaster that operated both television and radio stations, TBS now specializes in television broadcasting, which was transferred to its subsidiary, TBS Broadcasting and Information Corporation, in 2001.
