University of Tehran

The University of Tehran, the largest and oldest comprehensive university in Iran, is located in the center of Tehran and was founded in 1934. The University has departments or faculties of natural sciences, humanities and social sciences, engineering, medicine, pharmacy, agriculture, law, politics, economics, life sciences, resources and environment, international trade and Islamic philosophy and law, in addition to additional specializations and research centers such as Middle Eastern and archaeological studies, social surveys on poverty alleviation, prevention and treatment of malignant diseases, and high-tech research.
