The Astronomische Gesellschaft (German Astronomical Society) is a German astronomical research society founded in 1863 and is the second oldest surviving astronomical society after the Royal Astronomical Society of Great Britain. An important achievement of the work of the German Astronomical Society is the compilation of the German Astronomical Society Catalog (AGK Catalog).
