Paris-Sorbonne University

The Sorbonne University of Paris is the largest and most prestigious university in France teaching humanities, social sciences and anthropology, which are its main fields of study. Founded in 1253, the Faculty of French Literature at the Sorbonne teaches the history of the ancient languages and literature of Europe, as well as the study of famous European writers from antiquity to the present day. The Paris Sorbonne (Paris IV) is one of the oldest schools in the world.
