The Central Bank of the UAE (مصرف الإمارات العربية المتحدة المركز) is the national central bank of the UAE, established in 1980 and headquartered in Abu Dhabi, and is responsible for the issuance of the currency, the dirham, as well as regulating the bank's monetary and credit policies.
