Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (Nanyang Academy) was established in 1938, formerly known as Nanyang College of Fine Arts, and was upgraded by the Singapore government in 1999 to the equivalent of a government polytechnic, receiving subsidies from the Ministry of Education. Today, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts has grown into an art school with 1,600 full-time students and 3,000 part-time students in a wide range of disciplines. Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts is a well-recognized art school at home and abroad and enjoys a high international reputation as an institution of higher learning for its graduates. The new campus of Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in Singapore is divided into three buildings: the Administration Building and School of Visual Arts, School of Fashion, School of Performing Arts and School of Children and Youth Arts. The programs offered are: Fine Arts, Interior Design, Graphic Design, Drama & Performance, Music, Dance, Arts Management, Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising and Marketing.
